The creating safer and inclusive communities course has been developed for individuals, teams, workers, community leaders and managers. Our training will assist you to improve the quality of care and services you provide to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) consumers, staff and volunteers.
Our course package delivers six key learning modules and takes approximately 6 hours to complete – this can be completed at the learners own pace. The course is purchased through individual and group licence agreements. All licence agreements are for a 12 month period and can be renewed annually. The modules are a mix of educational resources, reading materials, videos, reflections and short reply surveys to accommodate a range of learning styles. The modules are guided by the Victorian State Government’s Rainbow eQuality Principles and Standards Framework.
We believe in working with individuals, organisations, communities and government bodies to build safe and inclusive spaces, services and programs for the LGBTIQ+ community. Education and learning drives social grassroots change and creates a society that is fair and inclusive. Our pricing is competitive as we believe this will make the elearning accessible to all. Please contact us if you wish to discuss your organisation’s specific needs or require a tailored package to suit your needs.
This training is intended to be broad to include all services, however, we will work with specialist organisations and provide webinars of specialist areas such as homelessness, alcohol and drugs, family violence and other specialised areas that relate to LGBTIQ+ communities. This will complement the elearning and can be added to the package through a webinar. Please contact us to discuss your needs and request a quote for this optional extra.
